Yesterday started off from our tent in a lovely doc camp ⛺️ beside a Waikato river lake. The river trail was really tough as was the ride up from mangakino to the cabins at the start of the timber trail.
Today 7:30 start which is Katter than normal and currently at timber tail lodge having just consumed just more food.
Plan to go to to end of trail then on to next town which I can’t spell- taumanuni?

Middle of north island -tough riding this day from Camp ground on waikato river trail, a neat and lovely DOC camp on bottom of lake . this ride from lake camp to top of the timber trail was a massive day. The Trail beside river was hard and lots of walks and then ascent to timber trail. road was rough for parts and had to go over a bridge where had to take my gear off to lift so could make room and also be able to lift it up in the air. Tight fit and a pinch point on trail.it and then walk holding up front of bike as too skinny a suspension bridge.

This morning at an old trackor at start of river trail. Bird song here was very amazing. and best heard for years
On river trail- spark were really step-thought I was lost but found wasn’t. suspect some did road which was far easier
Riding up to Timber trail towards mangakino, typical back country rode.

Riding up to mangakino-decided would take shoot of bales of hay. A lot of feed was a feature of a lot of these farms
