May get time to do some stories in Ferry this morning but will up load some photos below to add the stories behind them latter. feeling pretty good. b holding up thanks to my wonderful nurse and bike is all great after major change to drive train in

Arrived and stayed at Petone -half way -well nearly, early ride into ferry this morning

Summit remetukas-Steve beside me, a chemical engineer, no tracker and real big crash at night or road to no where. My butt and this  crash of Steve we started to here from from others around us, infamous characters 😀. A good guy who did the the second half of my long ride with me where we rode well into night and ended with burgers in mid of square in Palmerston North.. another Steve, Steve Petty rode out to meet me at this spot which was so nice of him. Meet Steve via his Utubes of ta 2202. Steve

and Martin stayed with us at wainui at completion of this year Kapiko. Lives for riding and is off to US to do the great divide I think in June.

A not uncommon morning, someone’s precious stead inside !

Road delay for 20 minutes at Pahautia track. Brought back memories of hill climb I did here as a teenager at a relay event for harriers. Not far as the crow flys behind Massey university

Going up the incline in Re teak as, not as steep as I feared and 4 or 5 tunnels thru those hills. Nice track.

Palmerston that Steve Petty and I . A real character and well know for all his posts. So nice of him to cycle out to join us. Steve Is big reason for me being on tour. His 2020 posting including drone footage of the tour have inspired so many of us. Steve and Martin stayed with us at end of recent Kopiko ride that ended at Stock route. So nice of him to ride out to see me. We chatted about cycling into Te Maruia and enjoyed his company. He and Martin are off to do the great divide event in Us in June. look forward to Utubes on that.
Eketahuna-the reminder of farming town 50 yrs ago. That was a couple of days ago-all a fog now.

Start yes, I’m am stretching now. Not a lot but a start. Flexible eh -oh well perhaps not.

The bell hop lady whilst waiting in shade and rang Alex whilst resting. Another very hot day. Didn’t feel great the start of this day leaving Palmerston after previous days long ride and took a long time to get into it.

Rimitakata and Steve, everyone is called Chris or Steve. well Lyall and names, oh my goodness. They forgive an old fells. This is Steve the engineer. We travel 100mkm plus together. After our long 200km he did 170 Km next  day !and then went to vineyards.
